You may remember Prince Gbohoutou. Last year without notification to his lawyer or family, Prince was quietly moved from detention in Maryland to JFK Airport in NYC for deportation to Central African Republic (C.A.R.). We strongly believe his move was retaliation by ICE.
Prince expressed fear of returning to the C.A.R., where he thinks he may be hurt or even killed. Prince resisted entering the plane and was beaten by ICE officers. The commercial airline pilot refused to take him to Africa. Prince was not deported and spent 8 months in an immigration detention facility in Alabama. Two days ago Prince was released from ICE custody! He’s back in Maryland with his wife thanks to DMV Sanctuary Congregation Network allies.
