POWER Interfaith released results of a poll of 540 Black Philadelphia voters surveyed earlier this month in a virtual press conference Thursday morning.
Some key findings are that 90% of Black voters are dissatisfied with the direction of the country; the top three issues for Black voters are the coronavirus, racism and discrimination, and gun violence; 87% of Black men and women under 50 are “extremely likely” to vote in the upcoming election compared with 100% of Black men and women over 50; 14% of Black men under 50 would vote for President Donald Trump; and 24% of Black men and women under 50 feel their vote is “not very powerful” or “not powerful at all.”
