The New Mexico Comunidades en Acción y de Fé (NM CAFé) Board of Directors has announced it has selected Las Cruces District 4 City Councilor Johana Bencomo as its new Executive Director. Here is the group’s statement on the appointment:
NM CAFé is a non-partisan, non-denominational, faith-based organization that seeks to engage the power of low and moderate-income families to shape public policy that improves the quality of life for all people in southern New Mexico. CAFé Board President Ramón Padilla stated, “Johana brings a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge which the Board believes is beneficial to the organization, and most importantly, to the community. The Board is fortunate to have a person of Johana’s caliber and background to lead CAFé.”
